The club will provide soft beverages, games and crafts for children (build and fly your own kite!)
Please bring your picnic, lawn chairs (and tables if you are so inclined), blankets, and anything you would like to share! Also, you are invited to bring your own sport equipment (frisbees, softball, football, etc.).
The city Parc du Lion in Wattrelos offers, among various amenities, a pedagogical farm, playground equipment, ponds, climbing pyramid, beautiful walkways, many trees and a large grass field at its center!!
Directions to Park
If coming from Lille, Marcq….take Boulevard with mini tunnels and tram to Roubaix.
Drive to Roubaix Centre Ville and its main street, Boulevard Gambetta.
On Boulevard Gambetta over the bridge, follow signs to Wattrelos. The road turns a bit. You will be on Grand Rue, then Rue Carnot (RN 350) and eventually you will see the modernish Hotel de Ville on your right. Drive slowly.Turn left on rue Gustave Delory. Parc du Lion is on your right.
Vital: do not park in the 1st parking lot, but in the 2nd smaller one down the street. Walk through the gates straight ahead where you will see an enormous lawn and the huge pyramid. We are right next to the pyramid.
